Lucy, I'm Home: Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem to Play Lucille Ball, Desi Arnez in Aaron Sorkin Film

With the turn of the new year, it appears that Hollywood is beginning to heat up. After months of delays, bad news, and productions being shuttered due to the ongoing pandemic, many projects are finally making headway. 

The latest is the upcoming drama that's being penned and directed by Aaron Sorkin. The movie is a real life drama that centers on Lucille Ball and Desi Arnez as they face a crisis that may end their careers and marriage. Initially, Cate Blanchett was set to star as the iconic Lucille Ball but is will no longer be featured in the role. Deadline is reporting that Bardem and Kidman are both in final negotiations to take on the starring roles in the feature film. 

Their famous television show I Love Lucy ran for six seasons from 1951 to 1957. The two were married in real life and had two children together, Lucie and Desi Jr.. Despite their success on the screen, the two were eventually divorced in 1960. They left behind a classic television show and multiple film appearances.
