It's that time again where we finally have a piece of news that isn't about something getting delayed by the Covid-19 crisis. While everything else is slowly starting to reopen, studios are developing and looking into whatever they can make when things get back to normal again. Yep, these stories will keep happening as the world tries to return to normal.

Today, we are learning more about the planned Turner and Hooch show for Disney Plus. While announced early on during the promotional blitz for Disney Plus, we haven't heard much about when this show was going to happen. But now, we are getting some more concrete information about the show.

McG, director of The Babysitter and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, has signed on to direct the pilot for the series. He will also be involved as a producer for the first season of the show, which is currently set to run for twelve episodes. McG will presumably being using his signature skills of blending action and comedy together in the same way the original film did.

Based on the 1989 Tom Hanks hit, Turner and Hooch was a buddy cop comedy that featured Hanks teaming up with a dog to solve the murder of it's previous owner. In this version of the story, the Tom Hanks character will be played by Drake and Josh star Josh Peck. There is no word yet on when the show will air but we will let you know when it does.
