As another Friday ends, the news cycle continues with a rumor about the upcoming Ahsoka Tano series on Disney+. After her short appearance on this last season of The Mandalorian, it was quickly unveiled that the character would be given her very own series on the streaming outlet. Fans were excited to hear the news but few details were given. As of tonight we're finally given one little tidbit of casting that seems to fall perfectly in line with what fans have been hoping for.

Several sites are reporting that they've moved ahead with their next bit of casting. Apparently, Mena Massoud who recently starred as Disney's Aladdin in the live action film alongside Will Smith and Naomi Scott has been cast as Ezra Bridger for the upcoming Star Wars series. While nothing official has been confirmed by Disney or their reps, he seems like a perfect choice to take up the role.

Massoud has only done a couple films and some television work since he starred in Aladdin. He's also rumored to reprise the role in a sequel. However, if this bit of casting news comes true, he may be busy filming for a while. Ahsoka is moving forward rather quickly with a potential 2022 release on streaming.
