Director Kim Jee-Woon, director of I Saw The Devil and A Tale of Two Sisters is currently working on adapting the webtoon Dr. Brain for Apple TV as a brand new science fiction series. He will be writing and directing the project for the streaming outlet with Parasite actor Lee Sun-Kyun taking up a starring role for the show. It's based on the animated project and will be a Korean language sci-fi thriller that will closely follow its source material.
There is no announced release date at this point but we do have a brief synopsis for the Apple led project:
“Dr. Brain follows a brain scientist who is obsessive about figuring out new technologies to access the consciousness and memories of the brain. His life goes sideways when his family falls victim to a mysterious accident, and he uses his skills to access memories from his wife’s brain to piece together the mystery of what actually happened to his family and why.”
