As the world returns to normal, we get to hear about all of the exciting shows that are coming our way.  And it is always a fun to do a write up about Bruce Campbell, a beloved Michigan hero, and his return to our small screens. And while he's not fighting Deadities or revisiting Brisco County J.R., Bruce Campbell is headed back to TV in a new comedy that will surely make fans happy.

Deadline reports that Bruce Campbell has joined the cast of the ABC series Adopted. Adopted is the story of a former Green Beret who returns home to Texas and struggles with the challenges of raising his adopted new twelve year old Russian brother. Campbell will be joining the already cast Shawn Vance and Wendy Malick as one of the series leads, playing Vance's character's carefree and goofy father. Wendy Malick will be playing the Vance character's mother.

The series is a single camera comedy that will be written and produced by Jimmy Kimmel and Shawn Vance. The series is inspired by Vance's real life story and will use that as fodder for future episodes if the series is picked up. There is no word yet on when or if it will get picked up but this sounds like a fun series and lets us see a different shade of Bruce Campbell's skill set.
