That Ain't A Dog: Attack The Block 2 In Active Development Says Joe Cornish

It appears that the cult hit Attack the Block has a sequel that's back in active development. Director Joe Cornish says he's still working on a sequel to the invasion flick and is in discussions with John Boyega about the project.

The original film featured a batch of alien invaders going head to head with a group of kids from South London. It went on to be one of the highest rated films of 2011 and turned Boyega into a leading man. It was the role that got him the part of Finn in the Star Wars sequels after J.J. Abrams took notice of his acting talents.

Cornish went on to direct 2019's The Kid Who Would Be King but is now turning his attention back to Attack The Block's official follow up. He says he had a socially distanced meeting at his home with Boyega where they bounced ideas off of each other. Cornish continued to say that this is the only project he's currently working on. What that means at this time, we don't really know. But damn, a sequel could be great.

Here's what he said when speaking with EW:

We're working on it at the moment. John Boyega was round at my place a few weeks ago and we sat in the garden....socially distanced...talking about story ideas until it was so dark we couldn't see each other. So, yeah, we're working on that.
