The Batwoman: Ruby Rose Open To Reprising Kate Kane Character

Just a little over a year since her departure from The CW'S Batwoman series, actress Ruby Rose says she's fully open to returning to the role of Kate Kane at some point in the future. Although her exit from the just launched television series was quite a surprise for the viewership and those behind the production on the show, she says she still has respect for the character and would entertain the idea of reprising that version of Batwoman if she were given the chance. Rose left the series in the lurch after an onset accident which caused a major back injury and was supposedly not happy with the extended work hours which created "friction on set".

Now, when speaking with ComicBookMovie.com, the actress says she would definitely like to see the return of Kate Kane in some form or another and is still proud of what they made with the series and loves how its evolved since she left:

“I mean, I’m obviously moving on to other roles as I think I’ve done about three films since. I would totally do it. I don’t think it would serve the story because I think building the new Batwoman is more important than going back too far into Kate Kane, but of course I would, I would absolutely do anything they wanted as far as that . I haven’t watched the whole thing, but I’ve watched a couple of episodes, and I think how they’re handling it is beautiful. I think it’s her time to shine.”

Whether or not this ever becomes a reality remains to be seen. But it could be an interesting twist to reprise the character alongside their current version of Batwoman.
