Further Into The Wasteland: Furiosa Prequel Sets Production Start in Australia

George Miller's next entry in the long running Mad Max franchise is nearing production. Today it was announced that the Furiosa prequel has set a start date. The new film will officially begin filming in Australia this June. It's also said to be the "biggest film ever to be made in Australia". Miller's latest will receive film and tax incentives from the government in order to secure its production remains on home turf. It's being reported that they've already completed designing many of the vehicles for the movie and are deep in to the fight choreography and action stunts. Furiosa will reportedly bring in $350 million to the local economy.

The movie is being described as a standalone story that will serve as a prequel to Fury Road. The story will center on a younger Furiosa, long before the events of the previous film. Anya Taylor-Joy will star as the lead character with support from Chris Hemsworth and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

George Miller will once again serve as director. Now we wait for another movie about Max.
