At long last, James Gunn has confirmed that the next volume in the Guardians of the Galaxy saga will be heading into production. The director says that the next movie will begin shooting some time in 2021 with another Tweet stating that much of the work has already begun on developing the visuals for the latest chapter. The Guardians were last seen in 2019 with their appearance in Avengers: Endgame. Many of the cast will be appearing in the upcoming Thor: Love & Thunder but will all be rejoined when the cast hits the set for GOTG3.
Currently, the plot details have been kept under wraps but its theorized that they'll be looking for a way to bring back Gamora due to her untimely death at the hands of Thanos.
The first GOTG went on to gross over $775 million at the global box office with its follow up raking in another $800 million. In these dire times, we need more Guardians right now!

Our designers & visual development geniuses are busy creating new, fantastic designs of other worlds & alien beings. I'm not sure the galaxy is big enough for all this magic.
