It always seemed inevitable that Q would be back in some way, shape, or form to visit Captain Picard. On a dramatic level, Q and Picard play well off of each other and have a fun frenemy dynamic. This dynamic has carried itself over several episodes and series so we couldn't imagine them not wanting to do it now. And what better day for CBS to announce this than on the day we first made contact with the Vulcans?

While the trailer is light on new footage for the upcoming season, it always nice to hear John DeLancie as Q. Season 2 of Star Trek: Picard is set to come out sometime in 2022 and we can't wait to see what happens next with these two legendary characters.
