In terms of high-quality licensed figures at the 6 inch scale, Mezco Toys is the company to beat. With a range of brands and a diligence to the details, their One:12 line have continuously sold out in moments of the pre-orders opening.
This time they're hitting big with Marvel's First Family, the Fantastic Four in an incredible box set. This had been teased back in February at their Mezco Toyzfair online event and now the pre-orders are ready to hit the online retailers. Included is the original team in a spot-on classic style with more accessories than you can shake at a Mole Man invasion. Specific to each character will be some accessories for a litany of display options. Mr. Fantastic will come with an interchangeable torso and neck to help replicate his abilities without compromising the figure, the Ultimate Nullifier, and a H.E.R.B.I.E. figure with his own set of parts options. Sue Storm, The Invisible Woman, will has five separate energy and psionic effects parts while her brother Johnny, The Human Torch, will have five fireball effects parts, six body flame effects, and a light-up blast effect stand. The Thing himself will come with two punch effects parts, his classic disguise of a fedora, sunglasses, and trench coat along with a lamppost and metal beam with integrated posing wires to show off his formidable strength.
Now each member comes with a few swappable portraits each, several interchangeable hands, and multiple points of articulation. Their 'unstable molecule' fabric costumes each have sculpted accessories including a 3D Fantastic Four logo, appropriate to their designs. Four display bases with logo and four adjustable display posts really puts this box set above so many others with its options to pose this team in nearly any way imaginable! Several sites have their pre-orders up already with the box set priced at $420. Expect the unexpected some time between February and April of 2022.
