The Return of Ted: NBC's Peacock Orders TV Series, MacFarlane In Negotiations

The wise cracking, foul mouthed teddy bear known as Ted is about to make a comeback. That's right. NBC's streaming outlet Peacock is currently adapting the character as a new series and Seth MacFarlane is officially in negotiations to return to voice him again. After two very successful movies, Ted will return. The films together grossed over $750 million making them the highest grossing R rated comedies of all time.

At this point, MacFarlane hasn't fully boarded the project as a star but his production company will be assisting in getting it made. The series under  UCP, a division of the Universal Pictures Group is behind the show that will bring the not so lovable Ted back to the screen. Mark Wahlberg is not expected to return as John Bennett and there are no further details known at this time.

What remains to be seen is if they keep the humor as adult oriented as the movies were. But I guess we'll find out!
