The Black Series continues its deep dive into classics and cameos, this time bringing exclusives for the Hasbro Pulse Con 2021. In a tribute that Star Wars figures have been known for, this first exclusive honors the most critical creative force behind Star Wars over the last decade: Dave Filoni. For his live action cameo in The Mandalorian, Filoni plays Trapper Wolf, a pilot for the New Republic that crossed paths with our titular protagonist. Packaged in a new The Black Series slide-out box, Trapper comes with a removable helmet and blaster rifle. The head sculpt looks great at this size, even using Filoni’s wry smile to solidify the likeness.
Now we go all the way back to ‘A New Hope’ for this Pulse Con playset with the Cantina Showdown. Obi-wan Kenobi, Dr. Evazan, and Ponda Baba are included depicting their decisive encounter in the wretched Mos Eisley cantina. The set includes a 6-inch scale bar with four interchangeable counter pieces and drink containers for an accurate backdrop. This also comes with Kenobi’s lightsaber and two blasters for the villainous scum. Packaged in a classic The Power of The Force box with a Lucasfilm Ltd 50th emblem to commemorate the anniversary, this is an impressive looking set with its premium detailing and paintwork bringing the scene to life.
