There's no doubt that Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead was a massive success for himself and the streaming outlet, Netflix. Due to the popularity of the movie, it looks like Netflix has officially asked the director to create a follow up to the hit zombie heist flick. His production company has recently signed a two year first look contract with Netflix that will see his upcoming science fiction action movie Rebel Moon hit the streamer but will also bring an Army of the Dead 2 into our homes. His shared production banner, The Stone Quarry will be developing features and content for Netflix for the next couple years.
Currently, it's said that Snyder will not begin work on Army of the Dead 2 until after Rebel Moon has been completed. Snyder and his writing partner Shay Hatten will be working on the script together, so no details have been revealed quite yet.
When asked about the partnership, Snyder had this to say:
"My goal and hope are to bring as much quality content as I can and do it on a giant scale".
It appears that hopes of that Justice League sequel may never happen after all.....
