If this were a normal convention season, this flurry of announcements might have been slightly easier to handle with coverage coming from news sites but as it stands, every company has made teases and announcements on their own through social media. The topics to choose from have been akin to a barrage from all fronts, drawing attention to the next big thing, one right after the other. It has been quite a week, folks!

That said, Super7 has been working with the G.I. Joe license to an incredible extent, with Hasbro working on their Classified and Retro Collection lines of figures and vehicles. In Super7’s ‘Phase 1’, they had a great selection of t-shirts while ‘Phase 2’ had the Cobra B.A.T. adopted into their 11-inch Super Cyborg line, including a clear version of the robot.

‘Phase 3’ was leaked recently but now it has been fully revealed as a line of G.I. Joe ReAction figures. This line consists of 5 POA (Points of articulation) figures on classic style cards in the 3.75-inch scale. Snake-Eyes, Kwinn, Scarlett, and three skin tone variants of Greenshirt soldiers represent the Joe side of the conflict. Cobra Commander, Baroness, and Destro lead a large selection of Cobra trooper variants, with either an H or V-back harness in three different skin tones each!

The grand finale was the 7-inch G.I. Joe Ultimates first wave reveal. Going for cartoon accuracy and high accessory count, these first four figures look stylish and ready for action! Duke comes with several interchangeable hands, three heads including the ‘Yo, Joe!’ yelling face, several cartoon weapons, and accessories as well as a few from his original toy version to boot. Snake-Eyes includes an articulated Timber, radioactive canister (not actually radioactive), a jetpack, as well as several hands, weapons, and swappable heads. Cobra Commander is ready for his greatest moments with a removable cape, 10 interchangeable hands, and a bevy of accessories. Finally, the B.A.T. has two head options as well as a decapitated look, six hands and three hand-attachment options, 2 spark effects parts, a severed hand, a clear removable chest cover and weapons galore!

This first wave of the G.I. Joe ReAction line should hit shelves this September. Preorders for the G.I. Joe Ultimates are open now until August 16, 2021 and expected to start delivering in Spring of 2022. Individually, the Ultimates are priced at $55 USD while a set of the first wave will run you $220 USD.
