It looks as though FOX is back at it. They're trying to relaunch their once popular series 24 all over again. The show which ran for 8 original seasons and then was brought back as a limited event series, a televised movie, and a reboot called 24: Legacy is being eyed to return to in one form or another. The execs at FOX are currently discussing ways to bring back the show even though it seemed to have run its course. Currently, there are no real details announced or whether Sutherland would reprise his role as Jack Bauer. But fans of the original show might be eager to see a reinvigorated, more timely set of episodes. The series still maintains a large viewership in syndication and would most likely do well if Jack is brought back to the fold.

At one point there were also discussions about a feature film but those plans were nixed as it wouldn't really fit the formula they'd established over the course of the series. Deadline has reported that FOX President Michael Thorn revealed that they're currently eyeing a return for the espionage property which really shined a light on torture, violence and the xenophobia problem in the U.S..

24: Live Another Day and 24: Legacy, although not as popular as the original, showed continued interest in the series as a whole. Thorn said this:

"There's still a possibility, there's still some discussions with the producers on a take that we have yet to hear. There are some active creative discussions that are happening."
