Before we head into this new frontier, some history is required. The Four Horsemen Studios are an independent action figure design company that was created after the members left McFarlane Toys in the late 90’s and began working with various companies including Mattel. In the mid 2000’s, they began making their own original collectible action figure lines. More recently, their Mythic Legions line has provided the collector market with unique and well-designed figures through Kickstarter campaigns starting in 2015. A variety of colorful characters filled the ranks to give a wide range of fantastical heroes, villains, troop-builders, and beasts!
That brings us to the present with Cosmic Legions! As a great jumping on point for these impressive figures, the Kickstarter campaign has begun as of September 10th. In the 6-inch scale, with figures reaching 9 inches in height, this line of science fiction original characters made its intentions known: we’re going off-world! Several unique alien designs as well as an original story of a gladiatorial prison and its occupants bring this line to life! They all look amazingly painted and the articulation is very well integrated. These could fit into any collection or stand on their own.
You can order the entire first wave with hand and accessory packs for $500 USD, or the individual figures ranging from $25 to $80 USD. The campaign will last until October 24th, 2021.
