Robots In Disguise: Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Delayed Almost a Year

In a bit of late evening news, it looks like the upcoming seventh Transformers movie is getting quite the delay. The film which just finished filming will not meet its initial release date but will now be pushed to the following year. It was originally slated for June 24th, 2022. Now, Rise of the Beasts won't see its cinematic release until June 9th, 2023. There was no reason given as to why they're delaying it but we an estimate they may be attempting to steer clear of ongoing pandemic concerns. While many movies have proven that theatrical releases are finally making their comeback, some studios have been being cautious with their bigger budgeted tent pole films.

This newest Transformers movie will continue on from the Bumblebee story and will feature Optimus Prime and a number of G1 designed robots in disguise. Stephen Caple Jr. (Creed II) is directing the feature for Paramount as they further themselves from the five movies in the Michael Bay run. The new movie takes place in 1994, continuing the direction they began with the Bumblebee solo flick.

Most fans are happy that they're finally moving away from the Bay films and attempting to fully reboot the toy line as a successful series that will incorporate more character development and story.
