After only a couple weeks in cinemas, the latest Spider-Man movie from Disney and Marvel Studios will be ranking in the top ten domestic highest grossing films of all time. Despite a repressed box office caused by the global pandemic and people's fears of entering the cinema, the live action Spider-Man: No Way Home will end up being the biggest grossing film of 2021 and will most likely continue to climb the ladder if ticket sales continue.

As many tent pole franchise properties like The Matrix Resurrections and movies that would typically be successful like West Side Story have struggled to stay afloat, NWH has proven that Marvel still has the formula perfected. In 2021, all four of their Phase 4 releases have been in the top 6 films of the year. This includes Shang-Chi, Black Widow, Eternals, and No Way Home

It's the first 2021 movie to cross the 1 billion mark worldwide and will reach $605.1 million the U.S. by the end of the New Year's weekend. This will remove Disney's Incredibles 2 from the number ten spot. Yet, it is not expected to outpace Avengers: Endgame despite climbing numbers in ticket sales. Still, the film has not been approved for release in China. When it finally gets a release date there, it will undoubtedly add a massive chunk of change to its already climbing profits.
