Too Old For This S@#$!: Riggs Jr. Rumored as a Main Character in Lethal Weapon 5

Some 24 years later, the Lethal Weapon franchise looks to finally be getting its fifth entry. After the passing of franchise leader and director Richard Donner, Mel Gibson will be taking up directorial duties on what will most likely be the final entry in the long running buddy cop series. Initially Donner was to head up the film but passed away last year prior to pre-production on the movie. Now it looks as if we're finally starting to get some details on the project. And it seems like the next movie will be a chip off the old block.

Current rumors are stating that Riggs son will become a primary character in Lethal Weapon 5 with Gibson and Glover still returning to in support roles. If we remember, Riggs and Cole had a newborn baby boy in the last movie. That child will be all grown up now and will apparently be a 23 year old rookie cop that will be featured in much of the new story. It's currently expected that Lethal Weapon 5 may end up being an HBO MAX release. Casting has not begun quite yet but there's a Twitter scoop below!
