Detail and articulation are great selling points in an action figure, very much so in the 1:12 scale. When you’re making original characters, you can focus on the specifics to bring forth the goals you’re trying to achieve. Toy Raiders looks to accomplish just that with their Live Battlefield Conqueror Mecha line.
This first set of three figures give you a taste of the warfare in this world with the stormtrooper, the sniper, and the heavy. Blue Stormtrooper with its metallic blue and silver paint, starts this off looking like an actual threat on the field of battle. The pose-ability and detailed weathering add a realistic and functional level to this design. Four interchangeable hands, a heavy machine gun, machine pistol, and machine blade are all included for several display options. The Sniper Type Red Thread has a specialized head and a serious rifle to boot! Desert yellow and silver paint work can be hidden with the included soft goods Sneak Cloak. Coming with four interchangeable hands, a detachable back antenna, and a sniper rifle with removable barrels for more options. Lastly, we come to the Dominant Type Bloody Repression. The deeper blue and darker metal paint work is highlighted with red accents. The four interchangeable hands are there but the real threat are the two shoulder-mounted missile launchers and two under-arm mounted light gatling guns.
The promotional photos are incredible for these figures and really sell the setting and possibilities with these mecha. Its good to see more original and independent toy makers carving their space in the world of collecting.
The figures are both sold separately or as a set of three on most online collectible retailers. Priced at $124.99 USD individually, the Three Aircraft Formation set is $329.99 but includes an extra machine blade, red pistol, and Reconnaissance Aircraft. Expected release date is Q2 of 2022.
