A Choice From The Gods: Amazon Eyes God of War Streaming Series from The Expanse Team

Video games continue to make their way to television as Amazon is presently considering adapting God of War to a new series. The Sony game which was introduced in 2005 is still an extremely successful brand and they're looking to expand it from the gaming platform to a live action television show. Years ago, the writers behind Pacific Rim attempted to adapt it to a full length feature but were unsuccessful at creating a viable script. Now, the project that's been long dead will be hopefully turned into a series on the streaming giant.

According to a report from Deadline, Amazon is still in negotiations with Sony to adapt the property to the live action realm. The idea came from The Expanse creators, Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby who are working with Wheel of Time show runner Rafe Judkins on the project. Currently there is no release window or time frame as they're still working out the details.

The long running game series has been around for 17 years and has a rabid fan base. So far, there have been 5 games with a 6th coming later in 2022. This comes right after the news that there will be a live action Fallout series as well.
