Galactic News: Damon Lindelof Rumored To Be Making A New Star Wars Movie

This is where the fun begins! Rumors are swirling tonight after a report by The Ankler that Damon Lindelof is taking up a new Star Wars project for Disney and that it will be another movie that takes place in the galaxy far, far away. Lindelof was behind the successful Watchmen series on HBO and was also a co-creator of ABC's highly successful series, Lost along with another show called The Leftovers. Lindelof is apparently in the early stages of developing the latest Star Wars film from Disney. While they've shied away from movies the past couple years and have concentrated more on television series like The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi, it looks like they're stepping back into the realm cinematic releases.

There are several other films in the works right now including one from Taika Waititi and the long gestating Rogue Squadron. But if rumor holds true, it seems we'll be getting another film from Lindelof too. There is no confirmation at this time but he has commented in the past that he would like to do a Star Wars movie but "when I would no longer be blamed for ruining it".
