You've Just Been Erased: Eraser Reboot Gets A June Release

Last year it was announced that there would be a reboot of Eraser, one of Arnold Schwarzenegger's last big theatrical action releases. The original film in which he played John Kruger, a man who erased his targets from existence. Even though the original film did fairly well in its cinematic run, there was never a direct sequel and the brand has sat dormant for over 20 years. Unfortunately, everything needs some type of remake or reboot so Eraser has been brought back to life in the new low budget direct to video release called Eraser:Reborn which will see a new character named Mason Pollard who will also be eliminating witnesses and changing their identities to remove them from existence.

The new film will hit on demand, blu-ray, and DVD on June 7th, 2022. It's directed by John Pogue, who also did the super high quality sequel Deep Blue Sea 3. The synopsis is as follows:

U.S. Marshal Mason Pollard specializes in “erasing” people – faking the deaths of high-risk witnesses. With the technological advances of the last 25 years, the game has upgraded, and it’s just another day at the office when he’s assigned to Rina Kimura, a crime boss’ wife who’s decided to turn state’s evidence. As the two flee to Cape Town, South Africa, with a team of merciless assassins on their trail, Pollard discovers he’s been set up. Double-crossed and fueled by adrenaline, he needs to be at the top of his game, or he’ll be the one who’s erased. Permanently.
