Another Face/Off : Nicolas Cage in Talks To Star in Sequel

It appears that things are beginning to heat up on the sequel to Face/Off. With star Nicolas Cage being a hot commodity again and the premiere of The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent hitting theaters this weekend, the star says he's been in talks to return for the long gestating Face/Off 2. There have been no reports of a Travolta reprisal quite yet as the project seems to be in the early stages of development but Cage says there has been ongoing communication for him to return when and if the movie ever happens.

When speaking with Comicbook.com, the actor had this to say about the planned part two:

"A Face/Off sequel I can talk about because, there have been some phone calls with Neal Moritz, who I enjoyed very much working with on the first Face/Off," Cage said. "He's somebody, he's one of the true, great producers in Hollywood. And, they have been making some calls. The other ones like National Treasure, I mean, their priority was a TV show. God speed to them. But, maybe Face/Off, maybe."

Moritz, who has been working on the Fast and Furious franchise is currently in active development on the sequel. Obviously, we'll update as we hear more.

Cage has seen a huge career resurgence the past couple years with films like Color Out of Space, Pig, and now this weekend's release.
