It Can't Rain All The Time: The Crow Reboot is Back On With Bill Skarsgard Starring and Rupert Sanders Directing

When word of this broke just a few minutes ago, we thought it was another cruel April Fool's Day joke, but apparently it's not false as it's being reported on across the internet on dozens of reputable sites. It looks like IT star Bill Skarsgard will be taking up the role of Eric Draven in the long gestating reboot of The Crow. The film has been on again off again for several years now with Jason Momoa attached to star at one time. The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline just broke the news about a half hour ago that Skarsgard has officially boarded the project and will be directed by Snow White and the Huntsmen and Ghost in the Shell director Rupert Sanders.

The original Crow film based on the comic book of the same name starred Brandon Lee, who unfortunately died while making the movie. It went on to a massive box office and maintains a huge cult following to this day. It is often referred to as one of the best comic book movies ever made and continues to live on through new incarnations of the character and the Crow story. There were several sequels, none of which lived up to the original.

The story follows a man who returns from the dead to avenge the death of his fiancee and himself. He's resurrected by a crow before taking vengeance on the gang that killed them.
