In an unfortunate turn of events, HBO has officially pulled the plug on the Ridley Scott produced science fiction series, Raised By Wolves. The show which chronicled androids battling humans in religious warfare has been pulled by the outlet after the second season failed to live up to expectations. The second batch of episodes never pulled in the numbers they hoped for and has been axed by the execs at HBO. The series was announced in 2018 as a TNT project but then was moved to HBO due to several reasons including the massive budget that it would require.
The series had a look and cinematic style that closely resembled Scott's Prometheus but unfortunately never caught on with a large enough audience. Meanwhile, HBO is moving forward with another season of their sci-fi series, Westworld.
The news broke of Raised By Wolves via Variety earlier today and has been confirmed by numerous sources. This is a sad day for genre fans that truly enjoyed what the show had to offer. Another original television show has bit the dust while the people behind Star Wars and Star Trek continue pumping out more and more content.
