TNT Derails Snowpiercer: Series To End After Season Four


It appears that TNT has officially derailed its science fiction dystopia series, Snowpiercer. It's been announced that the fourth season will be its last as the cable outlet has announced that it will be the finale for the show. Based on a series of graphic novels, Snowpiercer was initially a 2013 movie but ended up translated to the small screen by TNT. While it did appear to have great numbers the first couple seasons, interest seemed to wane and the execs have decided its time to end its run. Its been announced that the cast has been released from their contracts and are now able to seek new work.

A spokesperson for the network made a statement regarding the show's cancellation:

"We can confirm that Snowpiercer will end after a successful multi-season run on TNT. Its talented writers, actors, and crew took and extraordinary premise and brought it to life in thrilling ways. It was critically acclaimed, had a significant impact on the apocalyptic genre and now remains in the hearts and minds of fans forever".
