Galactic News: Carrie-Anne Moss Joins Star Wars Series, The Acolyte

Disney+'s latest Star Wars series, The Acolyte has begun production and in turn has ramped up its casting. With recently announced Wolverine star Dafne Keen aboard the project, it's also been announced that The Matrix lead player Carrie-Anne Moss has joined the cast of the show that will premiere on the Disney outlet. Keen was previously rumored to have signed on to star in the show but was confirmed over the weekend. Moss has officially joined the cast and will be playing a main character in the show that still hasn't received a full plot synopsis.

Apparently, The Acolyte began production in late October at Shinfield Studios located in Berkshire, United Kingdom. Yet, Lucasfilm still hasn't made an official announcement about the filming schedule. Insider scoops say that this latest chapter in the televised Star Wars universe will center on the emergence of the Dark Side of the Force and will further stray away from the known timelines in the same realm as Andor. It's supposedly set before the events of The Phantom Menace

It's been said that the executives at Lucasfilm are still unsure of how they're going to move ahead with their film universe as the televised galaxy continues to expand. After the Solo movie failed to ignite the box office, most of their movie plans have been shelved for the time being.
