It's Not the Years, Honey. It's The Mileage: Indiana Jones Series in Early Development at Disney+

As we all know by now, no franchise is ever safe. And it looks to be that way for Indiana Jones too. Despite Harrison Ford's consistent claim that Indy would die when he retires the role, Disney+ is in the early stages of developing a new series that will center on the adventurous archaeologist. While nothing has been officially confirmed at this point, it's said that Lucasfilm and Disney+ are working together to hire a writer to develop the project for the streaming outlet. The news broke via a report from Variety today.

All of this news comes at a time when fans are getting ramped up for the next Indiana Jones movie adventure that is said to be the concluding chapter for the character on the big screen. The movie will arrive in theaters in 2023 with no trailer released for public consumption yet.

This will be the second time that Indy has made his way to the smaller screen. He was introduced to television years ago with the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles on ABC which ran for two seasons.

There is no time frame or any casting news on the series yet, but as with Star Wars, we know that Disney will find a way to keep this thing going no matter the cost.
