With the final season of Stranger Things currently in the works, there were multiple reports of other related projects that Netflix would be releasing in the next couple years. Apparently there will be another live action show that is currently in the early phases of development. Along with that comes news that the Duffer Brothers are reportedly developing an animated series. This will be the first official spin-off series associated with the highly successful Stranger Things.

Early word is that it will be an anime style show that will be titled Stranger Things: Tokyo. The new series will focus a pair of gamer brothers in Tokyo that will end up in their own adventure in the Upside Down. It's said that the show will be a six hour run.

Nothing has been confirmed or denied by Netflix yet but it's not outside the realm of possibility. The streamer has had a highly successful run of other animated series and is looking to continue working on releasing other projects in this franchise. We'll report as we hear more.
