Desperate fans are aiming to save the cancelled HBO Westworld series via a new website that has been launched. Before its fifth season the cable and streaming outlet pulled the plug on the science fiction series leaving their viewership sad and wishing for more episodes. Creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy had initially planned for a five season run of the show but were disappointed to find out they had been cancelled prior to production on what would have been the fifth season. Despite a loyal fan base that stuck with the show through the last couple seasons were happy with the direction that the fourth batch of episodes were going but were not happy when they found out it wouldn't be returning.

Now, a new website simply titled SaveWestworld.com  is aiming to get the show relaunched for its fifth and final season. Petitions have worked in the past. Fan demand eventually got Zack Snyder's Justice League released to HBO MAX. So, it has been a successful way to get things done before but most likely won't work in the case of Westworld. Creators of the site hope to host "theme parties" to drum up further interest in saving the series that ended on a dramatic cliffhanger.

More times than not, these fan type petitions are ignored by the execs and studios because it really is about the bottom line.
