Your Mother's One Sick Mother: Wes Craven's The People Under the Stairs Coming to 4K

As one of Wes Craven's more offbeat horror flicks, The People Under the Stairs may not have been a massive box office success. But it maintains a very solid cult following to this very day. At one point it was rumored to be getting a remake via Jordan Peele. While there hasn't been an update on that project in quite some time, it looks like the original film is getting the upgrade treatment via Scream Factory.

Craven's strange tale of people living below a house will be getting the 4K treatment. It will be hitting your favorite store shelves and boutique sellers on April 25th, 2023.

This was Wes' follow-up to 1989's Shocker and hit theaters in 1991 to little fanfare. The People Under the Stairs continued to show Craven's knack for mixing horror and comedyin his own unique way.
