Return To Silent Hill: Movie Sequel Gets New Update

After its initial announcement, the latest Silent Hill film sequel had been stuck the limbo of development hell. Just a few months ago it was confirmed that Return to Silent Hill was finally moving forward in a brand new film that would be directly connected the first two movies. Although the first film was not a huge critical success, it made enough money to garner the 2012 sequel, Silent Hill:Revelation which in turn was a box office failure and flop with critics.

Today, Return to Silent Hill has been confirmed that shooting is set to "get underway soon". While this doesn't give a specific date for the film to hit production, it's a positive step forward.  Viktor Hadida, brother of the original film's producer Samuel, is on board the new sequel project. Christoph Gans, who directed the original is returning for Return to Silent Hill as well.

With no official release date set, it looks like the movie will hit theaters sometime in the first quarter of 2024.
