Everybody get your spears and speeder bikes ready! Disney has announced that Return of the Jedi will be returning to theaters in the UK, U.S. and other regions for a limited run engagement.  To celebrate the third of the original trilogy turning 40 years old, Lucasfilm will bring the movie back into cinemas for the first time in over a decade. This has been an exciting week for Star Wars fans with tons of news about new movies and where the saga is headed, past....present....and future.

Along with this exciting news, a new 40th anniversary poster by artist Matt Ferguson has been released in honor of the film that will be in theaters starting April 28th, 2023. It will be nice to finally get to experience this closing chapter on the big screen again after years and years. Screenings in the U.S. are scheduled for April 28th-May 4th. The UK screenings will be April 28th-May 1st.

You can also check StarWars.com for further details on showings and other regions.

Return of the Jedi was initially titled Revenge of the Jedi, but the title was changed a short time before its intial release when George Lucas decided "revenge" was not the Jedi way.
