Actor Mackenzie Davis continues to build on her solid and dynamic resume of leading roles with the upcoming remake of the Danish horror film, Gaesterne (Speak No Evil in the U.S.). The movie which tells of a family terrorized at a countryside get away is receiving the remake treatment via Blumhouse and Universal Pictures. The film will also star James McEvoy in a leading role. McEvoy recently starred in two other Blumhouse projects, Glass and Split. This will be the first time that the two actors have shared the spotlight in a major studio release.

The original film was released in 2022 and went on to become a cult hit and received 11 Danish film awards, their equivalent of the Oscars. The remake will be based on the original screenplay by Christian Tafdrup.

Davis recently starred in the critically panned Terminator: Dark Fate and had a role in HBO's series, Station Eleven. She also had a small role in Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner 2049
