It looks like Terrifier 3 is gonna be getting an upgrade. Today it was announced that Cineverse, Bloody Disgusting and Screambox have officially acquired the upcoming Art the Clown sequel in a three way partnership. After Terrifier 2 proved to be a hit, it’s understandable that many labels are boarding the next horror project and want s piece of the blood soaked pie.
Damian Leone’s last entry went on to gross $15 million in limited theatrical revenue and became an indie horror hit. This is a considerable amount set against a meager production budget and limited promotion. With that said, there is a full cinematic run scheduled for part 3.
The Terrifier films are quickly becoming known for their horrific scenes and practical visual effects. Despite being critically ravaged, the movies have revolved back to an old school feel that many horror fans have been missing.
Terrifier 3 is said to release some time in 2024 while pre-production is still ramping up.
