A24's latest low budget horror offering Talk To Me has officially passed Hereditary as their biggest genre film to date. The movie which has been a surprise hit for the studio has grossed $44.575 million so far in ticket sale passing Ari Aster's cult film Hereditary which made $44.069 million at the box office. The movie has already made over $63 million total worldwide against a very meager budget of only $4.5 million dollars. This proves how well A24's formula works with proper production values and excellent marketing.

Talk To Me has had mostly great reviews across the board, with a Certified Fresh rating of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. The film originally released in Australia in October of 2022 then made the journey across the pond to the U.S. for the summer release schedule. It's rather shocking that A24 didn't hold the domestic release for the Halloween slate but instead opted for the summer. During October, it probably would have done much better with little competition.

This is also A24's highest gross for any of their horror releases to date. The film has unfortunately been branded with the silly "elevated horror" category. We used to just call them horror flicks.

A sequel has already been green lit by the studio.
