The upcoming prequel to the hit horror/sci-fi franchise, A Quiet Place has been delayed by three months. This is a relatively small delay compared to Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part Two being moved by almost a year. However, it was just announced that the latest entry in the franchise will officially be pushed from March 8, 2024 to June 28, 2024 due to ongoing issues caused by the strikes. No official reason was announced by the studio, but it can easily be estimated that the actors' strike is the most likely reason behind the move.

John Krasinski has handed over creative duties to Michael Sarnoski who will write and direct the film. It's set to star Lupita Nyong'o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, Djimon Hounsou and Denis O'Hare. It will serve as a direct prequel/spin-off to Krasinski's original hit film.

Krasinski is set to direct another sequel in the primary story line and a video game is currently in development as a tied-in release. Coming off of years of delays caused by a global pandemic, Hollywood is definitely feeling the pressure right now.
