It looks like the found footage nightmares of the V/H/S series will continue on with another upcoming entry. After the major success on their streaming service, Shudder has officially announced another movie in the franchise that will focus on sci-fi/horror. The latest chapter is set to premiere in 2024 and is said to feature "five new bloodcurdling tapes". This movie will take the series to the reaches outer space, which may mean a bigger budget.

Producer Josh Goldbloom had this to say about the 7th movie in the franchise:

"Jason Voorhees, Leprechaun, Pinhead, Dracula, even the Amityville Horror house ended up in space, so as we move into our Part 7 it was only natural that we should too." He continued,"The sci-fi horror genre provides us an infinite playground of forbidden worlds and dangerous lifeforms, a formula we're confident will lead to the biggest, maddest, bloodiest V/H/S ever."

V/H/S 85 premiered last week on Shudder and quickly became their biggest exclusive film ever. It's no doubt they'll be continuing with many more movies in this horror franchise.
