The day we've been waiting for has finally been announced. At long last, James Cameron will release The Abyss in a 4K UHD collector's edition on March 12, 2024. Joining it will be 4K editions of True Lies and Aliens all released on the same day. All editions will include the 4K copy, a blu-ray and a digital code. All will have excessive amounts of special content that will make these an immediate purchase.
On December 5th, Cameron's Titanic will be coming home in the format as well and will include a very nice collector's edition packaging for its 25th Anniversary.
When December 19th hits, there will be a special re-release of both Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water. Avatar will get a special steelbook edition at Best Buy and The Way of Water will get a new collector's edition packaging.
But the real news here is that we're finally getting a UHD of The Abyss. This has been on our radar for several years now. Cameron is finally going to deliver the goods and we couldn't be happier.
