Altered Innocence has released the first trailer for the upcoming sci-fi fantasy film, She Is Conann. The movie is a queer female spin on the tale of Conan by director Bertrand Mandico. The first preview features her quest to become "the most barbaric of barbarians". The movie will tell of her rise to becoming a warrior queen through many "different incarnations and lesbian loves".
"In a barbaric fantasy sci-fi trip through time, sword and sorcery mythology is bent, fractured and gender swapped by master visionary Bertrand Mandico in his third feature epic". Mandico previously directed The Wild Boys and the award winning After Blue.
The film will be released on February 2, 2024, premiering in select Alamo Drafthouse locations and several cities throughout the U.S..
