Well, the reboot that no one asked for has officially been delayed. Late today, it was announced that the upcoming modern take on The Crow will see its release window get pushed back by almost 2 months. The film which features Bill Skarsgard take over the role of Eric Draven will be moving from June 7 to August 23, 2024. The movie has seen many delays over the last decade as it sat in development hell and changed directors and lead actors multiple times. So, another two months won't hurt the release much. And it gets it a little closer to Halloween.

In the reboot, "Soulmates Eric Draven and Shelly Webster are brutally murdered when the demons of her dark past catch up with them. Given the chance to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Eric sets out to seek merciless revenge on their killers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to put the wrong things right."

The first trailer was mercilessly attacked for destroying Brandon Lee's legacy and not doing justice for the character and not featuring the gothic tones of the original. It seems that in just a few months we'll find out if it's as bad as everyone thinks it is, when Skarsgard gets to spread his wings as James O'Barr's Crow.
