In another case of unneeded reboots, it looks like James Wan is going back to the well for a new take on The Munsters. After a tragic movie by the talentless directorial hack job Rob Zombie failed to launch, Wan is looking to put his own "dark" spin on the classic television characters. 1313 will be a new small screen iteration that will fully reboot the iconic monster family. Wan's Atomic Monster will be behind the latest relaunch and will be "a darker reimagining of the 1964 classic sitcom The Munsters". The world wonders why.

The original series ran from 1964-1996 and is currently streaming on Peacock. It had several spinoffs including numerous feature films and a sequel series called The Munsters Today. Bryan Fuller attempted a reimagining called Mockingbird Lane that never made it past the pilot episode. The most current version was the Rob Zombie movie which was critically ravaged and did awful with audiences as well.

There are no more details known at this point. We'll update as we know more.
