Goosebumps author R.L. Stine says that there are some early works being done for another trio of films in the Fear Street series. When speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Stine said that, "The writers are working. So, I've got my fingers crossed.", in relation to another batch of films in the successful movie event series. However, it's not clear if the next set of flicks would go directly to Netflix. The first batch hit Netflix in 2021 and was quite a hit for the global streaming giant. They've also got the upcoming Fear Street: Prom Queen coming up.
The original three films were an interconnected trilogy that had an interesting release timing. All three films were released one week apart on the outlet with each entry taking place during a different time period.
The Fear Street book series, an offshoot of the popular Goosebumps books, had sold over 80 million copies as of 2010.
There had been talks last year about another trilogy of films. And it looks like it's finally going to happen. We'll update as we hear more.
